Launch to Noblemen

Jan 30 — Written by Logan Tom

Last weekend, from Friday, Jan.23 to Saturday, Jan.24, a group of Foundry brothers took a one-night trip to North Star Lodge, our church’s getaway home, for their Launch Trip as part of Noblemen, a discipleship group for Christian men.

Noblemen emphasizes community, commitment, and commissioning through intentional group study, weekly training, and lifelong growth in Biblical manhood and disciple-making. The Launch Trip marked the official beginning of this semester’s Noblemen journey, giving students time to step away, spend intentional time with the Lord and build fellowship with one another.

The weekend included two core teaching sessions focused on what it means to be a man, the struggles men face, and God’s design for manhood. David, a mentor, shared, “A lot of the guys are feeling really blessed and excited for this next semester, and they’re looking forward to committing themselves daily to Jesus.”

The trip helped students better understand what it truly means to be noble and served as a meaningful introduction to the group. Lucas, a freshman, reflected on the experience, saying, “I appreciated the sessions about how to deal with having a lack of courage and how to build up that courage as well. It was a great experience and a very good first weekend to really enjoy and connect with the guys.”

While much of the Noblemen curriculum remains intentionally undisclosed (you’ll have to take the course to find out!), the Launch Trip offers a glimpse into the heart of the program. With multiple meetings each week over the next 10 weeks, Noblemen sets a high bar, but those who attended found the content and fellowship deeply encouraging and worthwhile. The strong experience of last year’s cohort also motivated many students to sign up this semester, and they were excited to experience similar growth by prioritizing their faith amidst busy school schedules.

As the spring semester continues, the Noblemen group at Foundry will meet regularly, with additional trips and gatherings. While sign-ups for this semester are now closed, other groups also focused on Christ-centered community and growth are available. To learn more, check out our website or fill out a connection form. We’re excited to see how God continues to work through Noblemen and look forward to welcoming more brothers into the program in the future. Stay tuned!
